Job summary

EDV Werke is seeking an IT Business Analyst for Cloud Solutions in a hybrid role in Kuala Lumpur. You will elicit and document requirements, optimize business processes, and drive agile delivery with Product Owners and development teams.

Responsibilities include cloud-native solution analysis, API and architecture collaboration, and stakeholder management across international teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related field with strong business analysis experience.
• Hands-on AWS or Azure cloud experience and understanding of cloud-native technologies.
• Experience in Platform Engineering or DevSecOps environments.
• Strong Agile experience with Scrum/Kanban and requirements management.
• Experience with cloud-native solutions, microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.

Tasks

• Requirements Analysis & Solution Definition – Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Business Process Optimization – Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions, analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved business outcomes.
• Agile Product Delivery – Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams, manage and refine backlogs, participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, and support prioritization, release planning, and go-live activities.
• Cloud & Integration Analysis – Gather requirements for cloud-native applications and platform services while analyzing integrations between cloud platforms, enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party solutions.
• API & Architecture Collaboration – Work with architects and engineering teams on REST APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, system interactions, technical dependencies, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Stakeholder Management – Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, facilitate alignment, communicate solution concepts, and manage requirement changes throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Testing & Quality Assurance – Define acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT activities, validate delivered functionality, support defect triage, and ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation – Identify opportunities to improve processes and products, promote Agile and requirements-engineering best practices, and support digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:

• Education & Business Analysis Experience – Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field, with strong business analysis experience.
• Cloud Platform Experience – Practical experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and an understanding of cloud-native technologies, platform engineering, and modern software delivery environments.
• Platform Engineering & DevSecOps – Experience working within Platform Engineering or DevSecOps environments, understanding their processes, practices, and collaboration models.
• Agile & Requirements Management – Strong experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, requirements management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
• Cloud & Integration Technologies – Experience with cloud-native solutions, microservices, REST APIs, system integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to understand complex business needs, technical dependencies, and potential solution impacts.
• Stakeholder Management – Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional international teams and effectively bridge business requirements with technical solutions.
• Business Value & Ownership – Strong ownership mindset with the ability to focus on business value, take responsibility for outcomes, and drive topics forward independently.
• Collaboration & Documentation Tools – Proficiency with Jira and Confluence, with practical experience using these tools for requirements, backlog, documentation, and delivery management.
