Job summary

SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd is seeking a software developer to analyze, design, and build high-volume systems. The role covers web and Windows applications, plus services and API integrations with third-party systems.

The candidate should have a strong OO background, SQL and database experience, plus ERP integration knowledge. Multicultural teamwork and documentation are important, with opportunities to contribute to IT processes and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Relevant working experience in IT Web/ Windows/ Windows Service Application Development.
• Strong understanding of OO concepts, SQL, Web services, AJAX, MVC with Entity Framework.
• Experience designing and managing databases in MySQL and MSSQL.
• Strong debugging and optimization skills.
• Good verbal and written communication and documentation.
• Experience with ERP integrations (Infor Syteline/ Oracle EBS) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Involved in the analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, debugging and maintenance of high-volume systems.

• Development of Web application, Windows Application, Windows Service

• API Integration with third party application.

• Develop effort estimates and plan implementation of products, based on requirement documents.

• Working across the Software Development Life cycle

• Contributing to the Development Team's working practices and technology decisions.

• Creating necessary documentation relating to work produced.

• Supporting user on reported issue when necessary.

• Modelling business requirements and translating to application and operational requirements

• Prepares Business/Functional Requirement Documentation by use of interviews, workshops, site visits, task, and workflow analysis.

• Project Management to coordinate between the business user and external consultant on support/new enhancement/change requests when applicable.

• Adhere to IT processes, including ticketing tracking to support, administration and maintenance of company ERP System

• Timely issue identification, resolution and appropriate escalation where necessary.

• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

• Relevant working experience in IT Web/ Windows/ Windows Service Application Development.

• Strong understanding of OO concept, SQL, Web services, AJAX, MVC/ MVC with Entity framework.

• Experience on database design and management in MySQL, MSSQL

• Strong debugging and optimization skills

• Solution-driven with the ability to identify/analyse the problem, design solutions, and create a documentation.

• Adequate project Management skills which good in verbal and written communication skills.

• Positive attitude, integrity, responsible, accountability with an initiative for improvement.

• Experience/knowledge in Infor Syteline ERP or Oracle EBS will be added advantage.

• System integration experience with 3rd party system like ERP or MES
