Job summary

Eastman Chemical in Malaysia is seeking an IT Operations Support professional for Kuantan plants. The role focuses on onsite helpdesk, desktop support, and working with global IT and APR second-line teams to ensure reliable infrastructure and application support for client services.

You will engage with local vendors, follow ITIL standards, participate in regional projects, and occasionally travel for project needs or after-hours support.

Job description

Responsible for the IT operations support, service deliver and assist IT project implementation in Kuantan plants. The position mainly focuses on onsite helpdesk and work with global IT and APR 2nd line technical support team to provide infrastructure and assist client level application support. The support area might be extended to other EMN APR sites per regional project’s needs. Travel and work after non-office hours might be needed occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting IT desktop level operation and service delivery to serve different areas of the plant.
• Act as a backup role for the server support in Kuantan
• Provide routine IT operations and support service.
• Follow global IT standards, policy and compliance requirement
• Participate and assist to implement global and local IT projects
• Work with local vendors to ensure a high-level service
• Follow global IT SOP and ITIL practice
• Work with global IT or local vendor to support other local applications and manufacturing system
• Effectively support the Manufacturing and support activities in the plant.
• Build and maintain good relations with plant managers and users.
• Comply to relevant quality, environment, health & safety management systems requirement established at site.
