SmartHire by SEEK is seeking an Interior Designer to work on a dynamic mix of residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead concept development, prepare detailed drawings, and coordinate with vendors to realise bold, client-focused designs.

The role offers creative freedom, professional mentorship, and involvement from concept to on-site execution in a design-led environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field is required with a strong portfolio.
• 2–3 years of interior design experience across residential/commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design & concept development: translate client vision into concepts, space plans, and drawings.
• Material selection: specify finishes, fixtures, and furniture aligned with objectives.
• Design trend awareness: stay current with trends and sustainable practices.
• Project coordination: liaise with vendors/contractors to implement designs on time.
• Project monitoring: track progress and manage budgets during delivery.
• Presentations & proposals: deliver clear design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
