Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related design discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering tools.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, colour theory, materials and regulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of client clarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts and presentations for residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations and 3D visuals using CAD software and tools.
• Conduct site visits and client consultations to understand requirements and preferences.

HOME PLATFORM SDN. BHD. is seeking a creative and talented Interior Designer to join our growing design team. This is a full-time position based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As an Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in transforming spaces by developing innovative and functional design solutions that meet client expectations and align with our company's vision. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with architects and clients, and contribute to creating beautiful, practical interior environments that enhance people's everyday lives.

Key responsibilities

Develop creative interior design concepts and presentations for residential, commercial and hospitality projects

Prepare detailed design drawings, floor plans, elevations and 3D visualisations using CAD software and design tools

Conduct site visits and client consultations to understand project requirements, constraints and aesthetic preferences

Source and select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture and decorative elements within budget parameters

Collaborate with architects, contractors and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless design execution

Manage project timelines and budgets whilst maintaining design quality and client satisfaction

Produce detailed specifications and technical documentation for construction and installation teams

Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback into final designs

Stay current with design trends, materials innovation and industry best practices

Contribute to the development of design standards and project processes within the company

What we’re looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related design discipline

Minimum 3 years of professional interior design experience in residential, commercial or hospitality sectors

Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering tools

Strong understanding of spatial planning, colour theory, materials, finishes and building regulations

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders

Creative problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics

Project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design principles is advantageous

Professional portfolio demonstrating previous design work and project outcomes

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
