CID GROUP SDN. BHD. is seeking a creative Interior Designer to join our team in Selangor. You will translate client requirements into functional spaces, develop design concepts, prepare drawings and 3D visuals, and coordinate with suppliers and site teams from concept to project completion.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design and 0-4 years of experience is preferred, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max and V-Ray, plus strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.
We are looking for a creative, motivated and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong creative thinking and design skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional, thoughtful and visually appealing interior spaces. You should be comfortable communicating with clients, developing design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, and working closely with the project team from concept development through project completion.
Key responsibilities
Handle interior design consultancy work from conceptual design and presentation through project implementation and completion.
Develop creative and practical solutions for space planning, design concepts, material selection, colour schemes and overall design themes.
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, budget and project objectives.
Work closely with the internal project and development team to ensure design intent is properly communicated and implemented.
Prepare design presentations, mood boards, sample boards, layout plans and material proposals.
Produce 2D drawings, detailed drawings, 3D visualisations and as-built drawings.
Prepare project visuals, material specifications and preliminary project costing when required.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors on materials, specifications, technical requirements and project execution.
Attend meetings and conduct site visits and site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship and quality.
Manage multiple design tasks and project deadlines effectively.
Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
0-4 years of relevant working experience in interior design or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray or other relevant rendering software.
Good understanding of space planning, materials, colours, detailing and interior construction.
Able to produce both creative design presentations and technical drawings.
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Responsible, organised and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Willing to attend site visits, client meetings and project coordination meetings.
Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
