Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer at Level 2 on a Rotational Shift. The role covers remote infrastructure support, project collaboration with internal and external teams, and ongoing server patching.

Candidates should have an IT qualification and hands-on experience with VMware, Windows Server, Azure, AWS, and Linux, plus Veeam and PowerShell skills. ITIL awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Shift-based role with on-site office presence and occasional weekend standby
• Recognised IT qualification
• Experience with virtualization and Windows Server OS
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Linux (RHEL/SUSE)
• Experience with Veeam and PowerShell in Level 2 support
• Good patch management and ITIL awareness

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure remotely and collaborate with cross-cultural teams
• Coordinate with JM employees and external organisations to complete projects
• Perform Microsoft monthly patching for all servers
• Participate in Major Incident Management, including out-of-hours incident resolution
• Update and maintain IT documentation to JM standards
• Analyze, troubleshoot and implement approved resolutions
