Johnson Matthey Plc in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Cloud Operation Engineer to administer and support Microsoft Azure environments across multiple regions. You will monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, provision VMs, manage storage and networks, and assist with IAM and security controls.

The role requires 2–4 years of Azure experience, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to work in shifts. Hybrid working is supported and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience managing Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, NSGs, and Resource Groups.
• Experience troubleshooting Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting backup and recovery solutions.
• Understanding of ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request processes.

Aufgaben

• Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments across regions.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud-related incidents and service requests.
• VM provisioning, backup monitoring, patch validation, storage management, and resource maintenance.
• Provide operational support for Windows and Linux servers hosted in Azure.
• Support Entra ID (IAM) activities including PIM.
• Assist with cloud security and compliance remediation per JM policies.
• Execute approved change requests following ITIL processes.
• Support disaster recovery, backup testing, and business continuity activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, security, and application support teams.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call and shift support arrangements.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement and automation using PowerShell and Azure-native tools.
• Ensure JM Policies, Standards, Security Controls, and SOPs are adhered to.
