Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery at our Shah Alam site. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues, read manuals, and work with teams to keep equipment running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a maintenance role, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read schematics. Flexible hours may be required to meet production needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in electrical/building maintenance or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services according to schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Attend to service requests such as lighting, ceilings, painting and other repairs in factory, hostel and office.
• Maintain company buildings and hostel in good condition.
