Benchmark Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement Leader to manage indirect materials and services for manufacturing operations in Penang. The role drives sourcing strategy, supplier qualification, and cost reduction initiatives to support production and facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
• Strong experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing MRO items, facilities services, CAPEX equipment, utilities, IT services, and business support services.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for indirect materials and services, including MRO, tooling, consumables, facilities, IT, logistics, professional services, and capital equipment.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier agreements.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to support business requirements.
• Manage procurement risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply disruptions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives.
