Job summary

Pasar Raya Matahari is seeking Security Officers to monitor and patrol the supermarket premises, including the sales floor, entrances, exits and storeroom to prevent theft and maintain safety. You will observe customers, staff and visitors, report incidents, and help control access to restricted areas to support loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the security and safety of the supermarket premises, including sales floor, entrances, exits, storeroom and surrounding areas.
• Conduct regular patrols around the premises to identify suspicious activities, safety hazards or security risks.
• Monitor customers, employees, contractors and visitors entering and leaving the premises.
• Prevent and detect theft, shoplifting, vandalism and unauthorized activities.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and report any suspicious or unusual activities.
• Check staff entrances and ensure employees follow the company's security procedures.
• Conduct checks on delivery vehicles, suppliers and contractors where required.
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies and disturbances.
• Prepare incident reports for theft, accidents, property damage, disputes or other security‑related matters.
• Assist customers and staff during emergencies and guide them to the appropriate safety procedures.
• Assist with crowd control during promotions, peak hours or special events.
• Ensure company property, equipment and assets are properly protected.
• Support the management team in loss prevention activities.
• Ensure security equipment such as walkie‑talkies, CCTV systems, alarm systems and other related equipment are properly used.
• Report any damaged, missing or suspicious items to the Security Supervisor / Branch Manager.
• Assist during fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Perform other security‑related duties assigned by management.
