Job summary

Matahari Group of Companies seeks talented, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our retail, wholesale and hypermarket operations in the Klang Valley. The role focuses on fruits & vegetables, inventory replenishment, hygiene, safety and customer service across multiple outlets.

You will supervise a team, ensure product freshness and accurate labeling, manage stock levels, and contribute to daily reporting and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities across Fruits & Vege sections.
• Monitor temperature, storage conditions, and stock rotation to maintain product quality and safety.
• Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Train, guide, and supervise staff to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on inventory, wastage, and sales.

Job description

• Oversee all daily activities across the Fruits & Vege sections.
• Ensure products are fresh, properly labelled & displayed and attractively displayed according to company standards.
• Monitor temperature, storage conditions, and stock rotation to maintain product quality and safety.

2. Inventory & Replenishment

• Check stock levels regularly to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Coordinate with suppliers or the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate replenishment.
• Assist in receiving goods and ensure correct quantity, quality, and documentation.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on inventory, wastage, and sales.

3. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and storage facilities.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
• Train, guide, and supervise staff to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
• Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate manpower.
• Motivate the team to deliver excellent service and maintain discipline.

5. Customer Service

• Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Provide product knowledge and assistance to enhance the customer experience.
• Monitor daily sales performance and contribute ideas to improve sales and reduce shrinkage.
• Support promotional activities and ensure price tags and signage are accurate and updated.
