Job summary

Pasar Raya Matahari seeks an Assistant Supervisor to support stock control, shelf presentation, and pricing integrity across its outlets. You will coordinate with the supervisor to ensure timely stock ordering, maintain orderly displays, and train staff in SOPs and policies.

The role emphasizes accurate pricing, stock rotation, and preventing overstock or stockouts. The position involves supervising team members, planning manpower, and ensuring adherence to company guidelines to sustain

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in ordering stock for the department.
• Ensure shelves are properly displayed at all times.
• Ensure shelves are filled and faced at all times.
• Check and fill shelves to avoid empty or half-filled shelves.
• Ensure stock is ordered in time considering delivery lead times.
• Supervise staff under your supervision, training them per SOPs and guidelines.
• Plan for efficient department management and manpower allocation.
• Ensure items display with correct pricing.
• Monitor sales off-take and adjust orders to avoid overstock or stockouts.
• Remove expired or near expiry goods from shelves.
• Maintain FIFO stock rotation and check shelf life to avoid expiry stock.
• Face out older stock during shelf display and place new stock at back rows.

Job description

• To assist supervisor in ordering of required stock for the incharged department.
• To ensure all shelf are properly display at all times.
• To ensure all shelf are properly filled up and faced up at all times
• To consistently checking and filling up the shelf to ensure no empty shelf or half-filled shelf.
• To ensure stock in the department are being order in time, taking into consideration of the delivery lead time, so that there is always sufficient supply.
• To ensure staffs under his/her supervision are properly trained and work according to their job duties, SOP, and guidelines.
• To plan for efficient management his department and efficient Manpower allocation.
• To consistently check and ensure all items displayed are with correct pricing.
• To assist supervisor monitor sales off take and adjusting order quantity to ensure NO OVER STOCK or OUT OF STACK situation.
• To ensure expired goods and goods with one month to expiry date are removed form the shelf.
• To ensure FIFO sequence for stock off take from warehouse and consistently consistently checking the shelf life of the stock, ensuring no expiry or near to expiry stock are kept.
• During shelf display, to always face out the older stock and new stock to be placed at the back row of the display.
