Job summary

Pasar Raya Matahari is seeking an Assistant Front End Controller 2 to support the Chief Cashier in managing the branch’s cashier team and operations. You will help ensure accurate cash handling and oversee adherence to standard operating procedures.

You may act as Chief Cashier or Treasurer on off days, assist in scheduling cashiers, distributing float, and monitoring receipts to ensure consistency across tills. This role requires reliability and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Cashier to manage the department and cashiers for the branch.
• Act as Chief Cashier or Treasurer during off days.
• Ensure efficient cashier operation for the branch according to the SOP for Cashier.
• Assist in setting the work schedule of the cashiers and ensure all cash counters are in operation at all times.
• Distribute cashier cash float before business opens and collect back after closing, handing over to Treasury during absence of Chief Cashier.
• Responsible for checking receipts to ensure purchased goods match customer receipts.
• Handle sales discrepancies.
• Works 2 days of full shifts per week from store opening to store closing.

- To assist the Chief Cashier to manage the department and cashiers for the particular branch.

- To act as Chief Cashier or Treasurer during their off days.

- To ensure efficient cashier operation for the branch according to the SOP for Cashier.

- To assist in setting the work schedule of the cashiers and ensure all cash counter are in operational at all times.

- To assist in distributing the cashier cash float to every cashier before business commences and collecting back the cash float from each cashier counter and hand over to the Treasury Department during the absence of Chief Cashier.

- To be responsible for checking the receipts of all customers to ensure purchased goods matches the customer's receipt.

- To be responsible for handling sales discrepancies.

- Works 2 days full shifts per week from store opening to store closing.
