Job summary

Intel Corporation in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a high-performance team responsible for RTL to GDS physical design, from synthesis through tapeout.

The role requires a BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 10 years hands-on design experience and a minimum of 3 years in team leadership. Strong tool experience (Synopsys or Cadence) and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of hands-on design.
• At least 3 years leading a design team, as tech lead or manager.
• Experience with RTL to GDS flows, synthesis, placement, timing closure and tape-out.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design engineers responsible for RTL to GDS activities.
• Plan resources, assign tasks and direct activities of the team to meet aggressive schedules and milestones.
• Identify progress gating issues and implement plans, tasks, and quick solutions.
• Propose creative methodologies and process initiatives to improve efficiency and quality of integration deliverables.
• Provide coaching, guidance and feedback to direct reports on career development and performance.
• Build a strong and technically vital organization; reinforce values, norms and behaviors.
