Cape EMS Berhad, headquartered in Senai, Johor, is seeking an HR Officer (Payroll) to ensure accurate monthly payroll, attendance, and employee claims. You will maintain confidential records and support HR reporting, while coordinating with departments to resolve issues expediently.
The role requires a diploma or degree in HRM/related field, with 3 years of payroll experience preferred in manufacturing. Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail are essential.

As an HR Officer (Payroll), you'll play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, attendance administration, employee claims, and payroll-related HR support.
Your responsibilities include:
Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including attendance, overtime, leave, allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.
Review and verify attendance and payroll data to ensure accuracy before payroll closing.
Monitor employee attendance, overtime, leave, and other payroll-related information.
Review, verify, and process employee claims and reimbursements in accordance with company policies and approved limits.
Maintain accurate payroll, attendance, claims, and employee records while ensuring strict confidentiality.
Prepare payroll, attendance, claims, and other HR-related reports as required.
Handle payroll, attendance, and claims-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth payroll and attendance administration.
Liaise with the payroll/HR system vendor when required to resolve system-related issues.
Ensure payroll and claims processes comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
Support HR reporting, data analysis, and other HR operational activities when required.
Assist with general HR administrative duties and ad-hoc HR projects assigned by management.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in payroll and attendance management, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in monthly payroll processing, attendance administration, overtime, leave, employee claims, and statutory contributions is an advantage.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Good understanding of payroll processes, attendance management, HR policies, and statutory requirements.
Good knowledge of payroll-related statutory contributions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.
Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
Able to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll and attendance discrepancies accurately.
Good organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information.
Independent, proactive, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to work effectively under pressure, particularly during payroll closing periods.
Positive working attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
