This is a Human Resources generalist role responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR activities within a professional-services environment. You will handle recruitment, payroll, employee administration, statutory compliance, and serve as a key link between employees and management.
Key responsibilities
Manage recruitment activities, including job advertisements, application screening and interview arrangements
Conduct first-round interviews and provide structured candidate assessments for the partner's second interview
Coordinate employment offers, onboarding, orientation, probation reviews and employee confirmation
Process monthly payroll and ensure the timely submission of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other statutory requirements
Maintain accurate employee records, employment documents and personnel files
Administer and monitor employee leave, attendance, medical certificates, lateness and absence
Monitor timesheet submissions and follow up on missing, incomplete or late submissions
Address recurring attendance or conduct concerns through documented counselling, reminders and appropriate HR correspondence
Prepare regular HR reports covering payroll, recruitment, attendance, leave, training and employee turnover
Coordinate internal and external training programmes, training records and HRD Corp matters where applicable
About you
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
At least three to five years of relevant HR generalist experience
Hands-on experience in payroll, statutory submissions, recruitment, attendance and leave administration
Practical knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements
Experience reviewing employee handbooks, HR policies or employment documents
Experience conducting candidate screening and first-round interviews
Able to prepare clear and professional HR letters and reports
Familiar with Microsoft Office and payroll, attendance or HR management systems
Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
Approachable and able to connect naturally with employees
