Zapin Holdings Sdn Bhd in Selangor, Malaysia seeks an experienced Assistant HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of HR operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws and alignment with the Company’s business objectives.
You will lead payroll processing, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations, coach the HR team, and liaise with authorities to support workforce planning and development.
The Assistant HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, ensuring effective HR operations, compliance with Malaysian employment laws, and alignment of HR practices with the Company’s business objectives.
Manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training and offboarding.
Develop, implement and review HR policies, procedures and employee handbook.
Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955 and other relevant Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
Oversee monthly payroll processing and statutory contributions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and HRD Corp.
Manage recruitment activities and workforce planning to meet manpower requirements.
Handle employee disciplinary matters, grievances, misconduct cases and other employee relations matters.
Manage probation, confirmation, promotion, transfer, resignation and termination processes.
Manage performance appraisal exercises and support employee development initiatives.
Liaise with government authorities and external parties on HR-related matters when required.
Provide HR advice and guidance to management and department heads.
Supervise and guide the HR team to ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations.
Support foreign worker and expatriate employment matters, where applicable.
Perform any other HR-related duties assigned by Management.
Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred.
Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
Experience in payroll and statutory compliance is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple HR priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
