Job summary

Shopee Malaysia is seeking an experienced HSE professional to lead management system administration, regulatory compliance, and risk documentation across warehousing operations.

You will develop, update, and control OHSE documentation aligned with ISO 45001/ISO 14001, and coordinate audits and supplier checks. The role requires a bachelor’s in OHSE, 2–3 years’ experience, and local regulatory knowledge; Greenbook preferred. Based at Menara SouthPoint, MidValley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health Safety and Environment or related disciplines.
• 2–3 years of proven HSE experience in large-scale manufacturing or warehousing.
• Excellent understanding of OHSE regulations and local laws.
• ISO/HSE/OHSAS certifications desirable; Greenbook holder preferred.
• Ability to manage complex issues and work across cross-functional teams.
• Eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage HSE System Administration: develop, update, and control OHSE docs (policies, SOPs, work instructions) aligned with ISO 45001/ISO 14001.
• Regulatory & Legal Compliance: monitor changes in environmental, health, and safety laws to ensure operations stay compliant.
• Audits and Inspections: plan and execute internal HSE audits and readiness assessments.
• Risk & Documentation Control: track non-conformities, implement corrective actions, log waste/emissions/safety data.
• Training & Stakeholder Coordination: collaborate with internal teams and regulators to promote safety and report metrics.
• HSE Campaigns: organize quarterly HSE campaigns.

Job description

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Management System Administration: Develop, update, and control HSE Management System documentation, including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions, often aligned with ISO 45001 (Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environment)
• Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Monitor changes in local and international environmental, health, and safety laws to ensure operations stay fully compliant
• Audits and Inspections: Plan and execute internal HSE audits, supplier checks, and readiness assessments for third-party or customer certifications
• Risk & Documentation Control: Track non-conformities from audits, ensure timely corrective actions (close-outs), and maintain logs for waste, emissions, and safety data
• Training & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external regulators to promote safety awareness, conduct briefings, and report on performance metrics
• HSE Campaigns- Well verse with organising HSE campaigns on quarterly basis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Safety and Environment or related disciplines
• At least 2-3 years of proven working experience in HSE functions and in a large-scale manufacturing / warehousing environment
• Excellent understanding and knowledge in OHSE / HSE based on local law and regulations
• Relevant ISO, HSE or OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) certification would be desirable; ideally a Greenbook holder
• Portray the ability to manage complex issues, solutions oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment across cross-functional teams
• Has an eye for detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
