Job summary

Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an HSE Systems and Compliance Associate (SPX Express) to manage HSE documentation and ensure ISO-aligned practices across operations in Malaysia.

The role includes audits, risk tracking, corrective actions, and coordinating safety campaigns with internal teams and regulators to promote a safe, compliant warehousing environment in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Safety and Environment or related disciplines.
• 2–3 years of proven working experience in HSE functions in a large-scale manufacturing/warehousing environment.
• Solid knowledge of OHSE laws and local regulations.
• Relevant ISO, HSE or OHSAS certification would be desirable; Greenbook holder preferred.
• Ability to manage complex issues, be solution oriented, and work across cross-functional teams.
• Eye for detail and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and control HSE documentation, including policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Monitor changes in environmental, health, and safety laws to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan and execute internal HSE audits, supplier checks, and readiness assessments for certifications.
• Track non-conformities from audits, ensure timely corrective actions, and maintain logs for waste, emissions, and safety data.
• Collaborate with internal teams and regulators to promote safety awareness and report performance metrics.
• Organise HSE campaigns on a quarterly basis.

HSE Systems and Compliance Associate - SPX Express

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Management System Administration: Develop, update, and control HSE Management System documentation, including policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions, often aligned with ISO 45001 (Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environment)
• Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Monitor changes in local and international environmental, health, and safety laws to ensure operations stay fully compliant
• Audits and Inspections: Plan and execute internal HSE audits, supplier checks, and readiness assessments for third-party or customer certifications
• Risk & Documentation Control: Track non-conformities from audits, ensure timely corrective actions (close-outs), and maintain logs for waste, emissions, and safety data
• Training & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external regulators to promote safety awareness, conduct briefings, and report on performance metrics
• HSE Campaigns- Well verse with organising HSE campaigns on quarterly basis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Safety and Environment or related disciplines
• At least 2-3 years of proven working experience in HSE functions and in a large-scale manufacturing / warehousing environment
• Excellent understanding and knowledge in OHSE / HSE based on local law and regulations
• Relevant ISO, HSE or OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) certification would be desirable; ideally a Greenbook holder
• Portray the ability to manage complex issues, solutions oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment across cross-functional teams
• Has an eye for detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Working location: Based in Menara SouthPoint, MidValley
