Job summary

Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad is seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll professional in Kuala Lumpur. You will handle end-to-end payroll, remit statutory deductions, and ensure compliance across HR transactions. The role includes coaching a small team, data integrity, and participation in HR projects.

With 5–7 years in HR operations and payroll, you will support the IR/ER function, assist on rewards cycles, and address employee queries to maintain smooth HR services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in HR operations and payroll administration.
• At least 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Diploma or degree in HRM/Business Admin or equivalent.
• High integrity and strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player with ability to support others.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary payment.
• Remit all applicable statutory deductions i.e. EPF, SOCSO, Income Tax, EIS, HRDC and etc. accurately before the stipulated timeline.
• Act as a checker to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance of all HR and payroll transactions.
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to team member in handling operational issues.
• Review and verify HR transaction including employee data changes, confirmations, transfers, resignations and other employee lifecycle activities.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and HR databases.
• Assist the superior in managing departmental operations and projects.
• Support the IR/ER Department Head on data gathering for disciplinary cases, performance improvement plan cases.
• Support Rewards Team during Annual Review Exercise (prepare Annual Review Template, letters etc).
• Address employee queries relating to payroll and other HR administration matters.
• Participate in ad-hoc / special projects as assigned from time to time.
