Job summary

BIG GRAIN CREDIT SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced Senior HR Executive/HR Manager to independently oversee the full HR spectrum for its Sarawak operations.

The role demands strong Sarawak labour law expertise and a solid understanding of HR needs in a regulated financial services environment, including licensing, fit-and-proper checks, and confidentiality standards. Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8+ years HR generalist experience, with 2–3+ years in Sarawak/East Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of Sarawak Labour Ordinance and payroll-related contributions.
• Ability to handle confidential/sensitive matters in a regulated sector.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRDF/HRD Corp)
• Maintain HRIS, personnel files, and audit-ready documentation
• Full compliance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance (Cap. 76)
• Manage Sarawak entry permits for West Malaysian/foreign staff
• Liaise with Sarawak Labour Department, Immigration Department, and relevant bodies
• Track staff licensing, mandatory certifications, and compliance training relevant to financial services roles
• Full recruitment cycle for branch/ops staff, sales/relationship roles, and support functions
• Conduct or coordinate background/reference checks appropriate for financial sector hires
• Manage onboarding, including permit arrangements for cross-state hires
• Handle grievances, misconduct/fraud-related investigations, disciplinary processes, domestic inquiries

We are a financial solutions provider seeking an experienced Senior HR Executive / HR Manager to independently manage the full HR spectrum for our Sarawak operations. The ideal candidate combines strong Sarawak-specific labour law expertise with an understanding of HR needs in a regulated, compliance-driven financial services environment — including staff licensing/certification tracking, fit-and-proper checks, and confidentiality standards typical of the sector.

Key responsibilities

End-to-end payroll, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRDF/HRD Corp)

Maintain HRIS, personnel files, and audit-ready documentation

Full compliance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance (Cap. 76), distinct from the Peninsular Employment Act 1955

Manage Sarawak entry permits for West Malaysian/foreign staff

About you
