Job summary

PG Signature Cake Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to build and strengthen our HR function as we grow. This role goes beyond administration and focuses on building systems, developing people, recruiting talent, and establishing HR practices that support business expansion.

You will work with management to implement training, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and statutory compliance, ensuring our people, culture and HR processes scale with outlets and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/Business or related field.
• At least 5 years of HR experience, managerial/senior level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment practices and HR operations.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll, employee relations and HR administration.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Cina; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for operational and management roles.
• Develop recruitment strategies to support expansion and new outlet openings.
• Build and strengthen training systems and onboarding programmes.
• Establish and improve performance management systems with KPI definition.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary cases and grievances.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations and administration.
• Manage payroll, attendance, leave, overtime, allowances and records.
• Ensure compliance with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation.

We are looking for a hands‑on and highly responsible HR Manager to build and strengthen our HR function as our company continues to grow. This is not a purely administrative HR role. We are looking for someone who can build systems, develop people, recruit the right talent, and establish HR practices that support business growth. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that our people, culture and HR systems are ready to support continuous business expansion.

Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end recruitment for both operational and management positions.

Develop effective recruitment strategies to support business expansion and new outlet openings.

Work closely with management to build and strengthen training systems and structured onboarding programmes.

Establish and improve employee performance management systems and work with department heads to define clear KPIs.

Handle employee relations matters professionally, fairly and confidentially, and manage disciplinary cases and grievances.

Manage and improve day-to-day HR operations and administration.

Oversee payroll, attendance, leave, overtime, allowances and employee records.

Ensure proper handling of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other statutory requirements.

Prepare and manage HR documentations.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.

At least 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with experience in a managerial or senior HR role.

Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment practices and HR operations.

Hands‑on experience in recruitment, payroll, employee relations and HR administration.

Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Cina.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
