HR Generalist (Malaysia) – Payroll, Recruitment & Compliance

Job summary

ByteBridge is seeking a skilled HR Generalist in Kuala Lumpur to manage day-to-day HR operations for the Malaysia team, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and documentation in a hybrid setup.

You will coordinate monthly payroll and ensure EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB contributions, handle leave/attendance, and support employee relations while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws. IT/engineering/data center exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant HR experience in Malaysia.
• Familiar with Malaysian employment laws, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB requirements.
• Experience in recruitment, payroll and general HR administration.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day HR operations for our Malaysia team.
• Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, screening resumes, arranging interviews and preparing offers.
• Coordinate new joiner onboarding and employee offboarding.
• Prepare employment contracts, HR letters and other employee documentation.
• Coordinate monthly payroll and ensure accurate EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB contributions.
• Manage employee leave, attendance, probation and benefits administration.
• Handle employee queries and provide support on HR-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Assist with employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases and performance management.
• Maintain employee records and prepare HR reports when required.
• Liaise with external payroll providers, government agencies and other vendors.
• Work closely with the regional HR team in Singapore on HR matters and recruitment needs.
