Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an HR Generalist to lead employee relations and industrial relations, advising on grievances, disciplinary cases and performance issues. You will ensure HR practices are aligned with company policies and Malaysian employment requirements.

You will plan training, collaborate with managers on manpower matters, support recruitment and onboarding for new projects, and maintain confidential HR records; coaching junior staff and handling other HR

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of HR generalist experience with ER/IR and training exposure.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and grievance handling.
• Ability to manage sensitive cases independently and coach peers.

Job description

Lead and advise on employee relations and industrial relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary cases, misconduct investigations and performance-related issues.

Ensure HR practices and case handling are aligned with company policies and applicable Malaysian employment requirements.

Plan, coordinate and monitor internal and external training activities, including training needs, schedules, attendance, records, effectiveness and follow-up actions.

Partner with department managers on manpower matters, employee concerns, workforce engagement and preventive HR interventions.

Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce integration for new projects and increased departmental headcount as required.

Prepare HR reports, case summaries, training records and management updates, and maintain complete and confidential documentation.

Coach junior HR team members and provide practical guidance on ER, IR and training administration.

Undertake other HR projects and responsibilities assigned by the HR Manager.

Requirements

Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline.

At least 4-6 years of relevant HR generalist experience, with hands-on exposure to employee relations, industrial relations and training.

Sound working knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and disciplinary or grievance handling practices.

Able to work independently, manage sensitive cases professionally and guide less-experienced HR team members.
