The ideal candidate will hold a degree in HR/IR/BA/Law and have at least 3 years of IR/ER experience, with strong investigative, analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and bilingual capabilities are desired.

Qualifikationen

• Degree and above in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of IR/ER experience.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967).
• Hands-on experience in Domestic Inquiry (DI) proceedings is essential.
• Strong investigative, analytical, communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage disciplinary cases from investigation to resolution, including preparing show-cause letters, warning letters, suspension letters and termination letters.
• Handle employee complaints, grievances, attendance, absenteeism and counselling matters.
• Conduct employee investigations by interviewing parties, gathering evidence, preparing investigation reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage Domestic Inquiry (DI) proceedings and prepare inquiry reports.
• Advise management on disciplinary matters, attendance, leave, resignation and termination.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment and IR legislation, company policies, and monitor changes.
• Liaise with authorities such as JTKSM and JPPM and coordinate labour disputes when required.
• Maintain confidential records of employee cases and prepare IR/ER reports.

This role involves managing Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) matters, ensuring fair and consistent employee treatment, compliance with Malaysian employment legislation and company policies, and effective handling of disciplinary cases and workplace issues.

Key responsibilities :

Manage disciplinary cases from investigation to resolution, including preparing show-cause letters, warning letters, suspension letters, termination letters and other IR/ER-related correspondence

Handle employee complaints, grievances, workplace conflicts, attendance, absenteeism and counselling matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies

Conduct employee investigations by interviewing relevant parties, gathering evidence, preparing investigation reports and recommending appropriate actions

Coordinate and manage Domestic Inquiry (DI) proceedings, including preparing charge sheets, coordinating DI panel members and preparing inquiry reports

Advise management and Heads of Departments (HODs) on disciplinary matters, employee performance, attendance, leave, resignation, termination and other employment-related issues

Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment and industrial relations legislation, company policies and internal procedures, and monitor relevant legislative changes

Liaise with relevant authorities, including JTKSM and JPPM, and coordinate labour disputes or Industrial Court matters when required

Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee cases, investigations and disciplinary proceedings, and prepare relevant IR/ER reports

Requirements :

Degree and above in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER)

Strong working knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, particularly the Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967

Hands-on experience in handling Domestic Inquiry (DI) proceedings is essential

Strong investigative, analytical, communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills

Mature, independent and professional, with sound judgement, integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters

Well-versed in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong Chinese language proficiency (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) is required due to regular communication with China-based Headquarters. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantages.

Preferably from a similar industry within the manufacturing sector or Semiconductor sector
