Job summary

Din Tai Fung Malaysia is seeking a Hostel Manager to oversee company hostels across Selangor, ensuring cleanliness, safety and proper maintenance through regular inspections and audits.

You will lead cleaners, drive the team between sites, coordinate setup and furniture moves, liaise with landlords and the Maintenance Team, and ensure timely follow-up on issues.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in hostel management, facilities, housekeeping, site supervision or a similar role.
• Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple hostel locations.
• Valid driving licence and confident driving a company vehicle.
• Willing to travel between company hostels.
• Experience managing foreign worker accommodation / Act 446 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular hostel inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, safety and proper maintenance.
• Drive and bring hostel cleaners to company hostels using the company vehicle for scheduled cleaning.
• Prepare and maintain the cleaning schedule for all company hostels and ensure cleaning is carried out as planned.
• Supervise cleaners and monitor their attendance, work quality and performance.
• Source and arrange viewing of new hostel premises.
• Coordinate hostel setup, including arranging and moving furniture, fixtures and other required items into the hostel.
• Coordinate hostel key collection, handover and return with landlords and agents.
• Liaise with the Maintenance Team for repairs, maintenance and reinstatement works.
• Follow up on outstanding hostel issues and ensure timely rectification.
• Maintain records of hostel inspections, cleaning schedules and maintenance.
