Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage purchasing and procurement activities for our mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, spare parts, and services while ensuring competitive pricing, quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company procedures.

About the role

Manage the full procurement process from sourcing and quotation to purchase order and delivery, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers, contractors, equipment, spare parts, and mining-related materials. Handle urgent procurement requirements for mining site operations and coordinate closely with Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance, Finance, and Management departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement process from sourcing and quotation to purchase order and delivery
• Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, equipment, spare parts, and mining-related materials
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers
• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, stock requirements, and supplier performance
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance, Finance, and Management departments
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, and approval procedures
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency
• Maintain accurate procurement records, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier documentation
• Handle urgent procurement requirements for mining site operations

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and negotiation
• Fluent in Chinese/Mandarin – able to speak and write Chinese professionally is an advantage
• Good command of English and ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Able to work independently and under pressure in a mining site environment
• Willing to travel or work at the mining site when required
• Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers or China-based manufacturers
