Job summary

Acotec Sdn Bhd, part of the OSK Group, seeks a Head of Technical to lead IBS projects in Malaysia. The role focuses on strategic direction, design optimization, and coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and site teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

The candidate will drive innovation in modular construction, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the main technical liaison with clients and consultants. Strong leadership and multilingual capabilities are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction or manufacturing, with at least 5 in IBS or modular construction.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (added advantage).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong technical innovation and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for IBS technologies across projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and site installation teams.
• Drive innovation in building systems, including automation and digital construction methods.
• Serve as the main technical liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and in-house teams.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, local building codes, and international IBS best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other staff during client presentations, tender processes, and site execution.
• Conduct technical audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
