Job summary

Eco World Development Group Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Head of Project Planning & Development to set the strategic vision for all EcoWorld development projects, overseeing master planning, feasibility modelling, regulatory navigation, and digital planning transformations.

The role interfaces investment vision with development execution across market intelligence, policy, and design innovation to produce viable project pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in urban design, business administration, or strategic planning is advantageous.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Lembaga Perancang Bandar Malaysia, PMP) are a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in real estate development, with at least 5 years in a senior strategic planning leadership role.
• Strong track record in leading township and high-rise master planning from land acquisition to regulatory approval.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams and government liaison.
• Experience driving digital adoption in the planning domain.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Development Planning: Formulate and evaluate project vision, land use strategy, and conceptual layouts.
• Regulatory Strategy & Government Relations: Lead engagement with authorities to navigate approvals.
• Multi-Disciplinary Consultant Management: Direct the appointment and performance of planners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Digital Planning & Innovation: Institutionalize digital tools and promote automation in planning reviews.
• Team Leadership & Talent Strategy: Build and mentor a high-performing PPD team.
• Cross-Departmental Integration: Align planning with Investment, Marketing, Project Implementation, and Sales.
• Strategic Reporting & Board Engagement: Present status, risks, and approval outlooks to senior management.
