Job summary

Eco World Development Group Berhad is seeking a Head of Project Planning & Development to set and execute the strategic planning vision for EcoWorld’s development projects in Malaysia. You will drive master planning, feasibility modelling, regulatory navigation, and digitize planning workflows.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, engage with authorities, and align planning with investment objectives to deliver feasible, profitable project pipelines and smooth transitions into execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Urban Design, Business Administration, or Strategic Planning is highly advantageous.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in real estate development, with at least 5 years in a senior strategic planning leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in leading township and high-rise master planning from land acquisition to regulatory approval.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary consultant teams and government liaison.

Responsibilities

• Strategic development planning and evaluating land use strategy.
• Synthesize data to optimize development phasing and product mix.
• Lead engagement with authorities to navigate approvals.
• Direct appointment and performance of planners, engineers, and external consultants.
• Establish best practices for inter-disciplinary coordination and document integration (e.g., BIM, GIS, submission systems).
• Institutionalize digital tools across feasibility, design coordination, and approval tracking.
• Build and lead a high-performing PPD team with cross-functional collaboration.
• Align project planning with business units to ensure holistic project viability.
