Job summary

Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Chief Steward to lead the Stewarding Department, ensuring efficiency, safety and top‑tier cleanliness in support of all kitchens, outlets and banquets. The role requires working in harmony with Hyatt's corporate strategies and brand standards.

You will oversee back‑of‑house operations, uphold safety and hygiene standards, and collaborate with culinary and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chief Steward in a hotel, preferably international.
• Experience with kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of hotel and food & beverage safety regulations such as HACCP is essential.
• Good computer and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Stewarding Department in line with Hyatt International's standards and brand expectations.
• Maintain an organized, clean back‑of‑house area and a productive cost centre.
• Provide kitchens, outlets and banquets with clean operating equipment based on business levels.
