Job summary

CROWNE PLAZA KLCC is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding operation during the shift and ensure the kitchen and F&B areas meet high hygienic standards. You will supervise cleaning, waste removal, and storage while adhering to local health regulations, safety rules and brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school/Intermediate level education preferred with minimum of 2 years' experience in Kitchen Stewarding operations in a hotel.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the stewarding operation during the shift and maintain high hygienic standards for the kitchen and F&B premises.
• Conduct shift briefings in the absence of the Chief of Hygiene & Stewarding to align hotel activities and operational needs.
• Oversee preparation of kitchen equipment for use and supervise receiving and storage of kitchen goods.
• Supervise cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment and premises, including waste removal and handling of kitchen linen.
• Ensure hygienic kitchen practices are maintained and enforce personal hygiene standards for self and team.
• Monitor stewarding costs to help achieve optimal departmental expenditure and sanitation quality.
• Establish and maintain effective staff and inter-departmental relationships; coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Assist in developing training plans and training materials aligned with IHG guidelines and implement training for stewarding staff.
• Assist in setting stewarding goals, developing strategies, procedures and policies, and in stock level controls and par-stocks.
• Work with Engineering and accounting teams for preventive maintenance, inventory counts, and budget planning.
