Job summary

KGB Holdings Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced and highly responsible Halal Executive to assist the company in applying for and obtaining Halal certification.

Be able to manage the entire Halal application process, including documentation, submission, follow-up, audit preparation and compliance matters.

Work Location: Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (including 1 hour breaK)

Main Responsibilities

• Handle the company’s Halal certification application from preparation until approval
• Prepare, check and maintain all required Halal documents and records
• Liaise with JAKIM or other relevant authorities
• Ensure ingredients, suppliers, products, premises and processes comply with Halal requirements
• Prepare the company and outlets for Halal inspections and audits
• Follow up on applications, corrective actions and renewal matters
• Provide guidance and training to management and employees on Halal compliance
• Assist in establishing and maintaining the company’s Halal Assurance System and Internal Halal Committee

Requirements

• Candidates must fulfil all current JAKIM eligibility requirements for appointment as a Halal Executive
• Possess a valid Halal Executive Certificate from a training provider registered under JAKIM’s Halal Professional Board
• Diploma in Halal Management, Food Science, Food Technology or a related field
• Relevant halal-management experience may be considered in accordance with JAKIM requirements
• Practical experience handling halal certification applications from preparation until approval is strongly preferred
• Good knowledge of halal documentation, internal halal controls, food safety and audit preparation
• Good communication, documentation and follow-up skills
• Minimum two years of working experience in halal compliance, quality assurance or the food industry is preferred
• Familiar with MYeHALAL application procedures, Halal Assurance System (HAS), internal halal audits and halal documentation
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food-safety standards will be an added advantage
• Highly responsible, detail-oriented and able to complete assigned matters within the required timeline
• Must be willing to work as a permanent, full-time employee
• Willing to travel to the company’s outlets and relevant government departments when required

Overtime may be required when necessary. All approved overtime will be paid accordingly.
