Job summary

Hong Guan Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented Account Executive/Accountant to join our growing team in Penang. You will handle day-to-day accounting, maintain records, and support management with financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills. You will manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Experience handling full set of accounts is an advantage.
• Familiar with AP/AR, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting practices and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and day-to-day accounting activities.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare invoices, vouchers, receipts, credit notes and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank reconciliation and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Process supplier invoices and arrange payments according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper filing of financial documents.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow planning and financial analysis.
• Monitor inventory-related accounting records and assist with stock reconciliation.
