Job summary

Astino Berhad is seeking a Group Human Resource Manager to lead HR strategy and drive organisational excellence from its Nibong Tebal, Penang location. This full-time role reports to senior management and shapes HR policies, programmes and employee relations across the group.

You will oversee recruitment, learning and development, compensation, and compliance, while building a positive workplace culture and effective people management practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources management, with at least 3 years in a strategic HR leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programmes at an organisational or group level.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, labour regulations, and compliance requirements in Malaysia and the region.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent management, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
• Experience in managing multi-site or multi-divisional HR operations and diverse workforces.
• Fluent in Mandarin, enabling effective communication with stakeholders.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence, inspire, and build effective teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive human resources strategies and policies aligned with group-wide business objectives and organisational goals.
• Provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to senior management on people-related matters, organisational development, and talent management initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, talent acquisition, and retention programmes to ensure the group attracts and retains top talent.
• Manage employee relations, performance management systems, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the design and delivery of learning and development programmes that enhance employee skills, capabilities, and career progression.
• Oversee compensation and benefits management to ensure competitive and equitable reward structures across the group.
• Champion workplace culture, employee engagement, and organisational development initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive working environment.
• Manage HR operations, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance across all business units.
• Provide advisory support on employment law matters, workplace disputes, and sensitive HR issues.
• Monitor HR metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate programme effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.
