Job summary

PointStar in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) is seeking a mid-senior Cloud Sales Specialist to identify, develop, and close cloud opportunities, with an emphasis on Google Cloud offerings. You will manage the full sales cycle, collaborate with pre-sales, solution architects, and services teams, and help clients transform digitally through cloud solutions.

The role requires a proactive hunter attitude, strong communication and negotiation skills, willingness to travel, and a solid understanding of cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of B2B cloud solutions sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts across providers.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new cloud sales opportunities within target markets.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract finalization.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Google Cloud solutions and other major cloud providers.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments and align cloud solutions to client objectives.
• Communicate the value proposition and optimize cloud spend for clients.
• Collaborate with pre-sales engineers, solution architects, and services teams.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline in CRM.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings and new cloud technologies.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue and gross margin goals.
