Job summary

Swift is seeking a procurement professional in Kuala Lumpur to perform straightforward purchasing tasks, manage vendors, and support customers. You will escalate issues, coordinate with senior staff, and participate in projects to improve procurement processes.

The role emphasizes building internal and external relationships, delivering accurate reports, and expanding knowledge of procurement techniques and Swift products and services. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience related to Swift and with customer interaction and exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing straightforward procurement activities in an accurate and timely manner, such as issuing purchase orders, evaluating and qualifying vendors/product/services, preparing contracts, etc
• Escalate problems of small to medium size/complexity (non-agreed delivery, invoice problems) in order to meet customers requests
• Inform a more senior procurement specialist on progress, achievements, problems and issues related to own area
• Participate in projects within own area by performing projects related tasks
• Build on internal/external customers contacts to get sound understanding of their needs and communicate to them all relevant information
• Display/use advanced knowledge within limited area/project and receive guidance from more senior specialists
• Maintain and establish contacts with peers inside/outside Swift to be informed on practice and developments in own area
• Prepare standard reports/presentations
• Acquire knowledge of procurement techniques and products/services
