Job summary

Airswift seeks a Global Procurement Contracting Senior Manager for a 12-month contract in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role follows a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home) with work hours 8.30am–5.30pm.

You will drive contracting excellence by standardising templates, processes, and digital tools while leading Contract Board Governance and transformation across global procurement to maximise value and minimise risk.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in global environments.
• Understanding of and ability to develop and maintain business context, including strategic direction, priorities, stakeholders, and strategy.
• Knowledge of procurement contract management.
• Ability to quickly understand business objectives and align with contracting strategy.
• SME who shares knowledge and drives delivery, collaborating across procurement, the businesses, suppliers and beyond.
• Experience leading initiatives internationally, recognizing cultural nuances and using agile approaches.
• Advocate for our code; incorporate OMS and safety leadership principles into strategies and work.
• Partner with the business to develop innovative solutions, clearing blockers and enabling delivery.
• Embrace industry challenges and disruption; manage risk.
• Builds relationships with procurement teams globally and becomes a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage contracting advisory activities across procurement to ensure alignment with contracting principles.
• Develop and maintain contract templates in alignment to internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Drive harmonisation of contracting processes across categories, providing cross-divisional process standards.
• Coordinate with process owners, SMEs and procurement teams to update and standardise contract templates and approaches.
• Maintain updated contracting knowledge repository (policies and procedures) and communicate with practitioners.
• Work with process excellence to run contracting knowledge cafés to upskill practitioners.
• Manage and oversee procurement authorities and renewal of signing authorities.
• Lead and drive Contract Board Governance.
• Implement contracting transformation initiatives and leverage digital solutions to drive efficiency.
• Partner with internal teams to automate contracting activities and drive data quality.
• Use storytelling and influence to encourage digital adoption and better decision making.
• Build a collaborative culture across procurement and supplier networks to maximise value.
