Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Procurement Assistant to handle straightforward procurement activities, issue purchase orders, evaluate vendors, and help prepare contracts.

In this role you will escalate issues to a senior procurement specialist, build internal/external customer contacts, and contribute to project work while maintaining procurement standards. A Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Preferably 1–2 years of Swift-related experience with customer interaction.
• Experience in procurement activities and preparing contracts is desirable.
• Ability to escalate issues to a senior procurement specialist when needed.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing straightforward procurement activities (purchase orders, vendor evaluation, contracts).
• Escalate problems of small to medium size/complexity to meet customer requests.
• Inform a senior procurement specialist on progress, achievements and issues related to own area.
• Participate in projects within own area by performing project-related tasks.
• Build internal/external customer contacts to understand needs and communicate information.
• Prepare standard reports/presentations and maintain procurement records.
