Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support straightforward procurement activities, issue purchase orders, and evaluate vendors. You will escalate issues to meet customer requests and collaborate with senior staff on progress and projects.

Education requires a Bachelor's degree. Approximately 1–2 years of experience in Swift-related procurement or with customer interaction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Swift-related procurement or with customer interaction is preferred.
• Ability to issue purchase orders and evaluate vendors and contracts.
• Strong communication and documentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement activities such as issuing purchase orders and evaluating vendors.
• Qualify vendors and products/services and prepare contracts where needed.
• Escalate issues to meet customer requests and ensure timely delivery.
• Inform senior procurement staff on progress and issues within own area.
• Participate in projects within own area and communicate needs to stakeholders.
• Build internal/external contacts to understand customer needs and relay information.
• Maintain contacts with Swift peers to stay updated on best practices.
• Prepare standard reports and presentations.
• Acquire knowledge of procurement techniques and products/services.
