Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in purchasing and import operations.
• Experience dealing with overseas suppliers, particularly China and other international markets, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of import procedures, shipping documentation, and customs clearance.
• Familiar with Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, EXW, and DDP.
• Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and purchasing or ERP systems.
• Able to work independently, systematically, and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English. Mandarin is an added advantage when dealing with Chinese suppliers.

Aufgaben

• Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate pricing and payment terms.
• Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders (PO).
• Ensure purchases comply with company requirements, specifications, and budgets.
• Maintain good relationships with overseas suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate import shipments with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Monitor shipment schedules, ETD and ETA.
• Follow up on shipping documents, including: Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB); Certificate of Origin (COO), where applicable; Other relevant import permits and certificates.
• Ensure import documentation is accurate and complete.
• Liaise with customs agents to facilitate customs clearance.
• Monitor shipment arrivals and arrange timely delivery to warehouse.
• Monitor import costs, including freight charges, insurance, customs duties, taxes, and other related expenses.
• Check supplier invoices against purchase orders.
• Maintain proper records of purchase orders, import documents, and supplier information.
• Assist in calculating landed costs of imported products.
• Ensure all import transactions comply with applicable customs regulations and company procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock availability.
• Work closely with the Finance Department on supplier payments and shipping-related expenses.
• Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders, delayed shipments, and quality issues.
• Provide regular updates on purchasing and shipment status to management.
