Job summary

Altera, Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an HR Operations professional to be the first point of contact for employees and managers, handling inquiries, onboarding activities, and case management in Workday and ServiceNow.

You will support benefits inquiries, leave administration, orientation (Day 1) both onsite and virtual, and offboarding processes. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume transactional work while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in HR operations or shared services.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Hands-on experience with Workday and ServiceNow case management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactional work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for HR inquiries and resolve cases.
• Manage and resolve cases using ServiceNow within SLAs.
• Execute onboarding transactions and coordinate onboarding activities.
• Facilitate Day 1 New Hire Orientation onsite and virtually.
• Process offboarding transactions including terminations and documentation.
• Support benefits inquiries and leave administration.
• Maintain and audit employee data in Workday.
• Generate HR documents (offer letters, change notices, verification letters).
• Assist internal audits and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and COEs.
