Job summary

754 Altera Semiconductor Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an HR Operations professional based in Penang to manage employee inquiries and HR transactions.

You will use Workday and ServiceNow to handle onboarding, background checks, and offboarding while ensuring data accuracy and policy compliance. The role requires 1–2 years in HR operations, strong communication, and advanced Excel skills. The position is a contract employee with shift coverage in Malaysia and collaboration with HR partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in HR operations or shared services.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in PowerPoint for user training, e.g., new hire orientation.
• Hands-on experience with Workday and ServiceNow case management.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries from employees and managers.
• Manage and resolve cases using ServiceNow within SLAs.
• Execute onboarding transactions and coordinate onboarding activities and background checks.
• Assist day 1 new hire orientation onsite and virtually.
• Process offboarding transactions including terminations and separation documents.
• Support benefits inquiries and leave administration; escalate complex matters.
• Maintain and audit employee data in Workday for accuracy and compliance.
• Generate HR documents such as offer letters and verification letters.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations and internal policies.
• Partner with COEs to ensure seamless case resolution and proactive support.

Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers for HR inquiries. Manage and resolve cases using ServiceNow in accordance with established SLAs. Execute onboarding transactions, onboarding activities documentation coordination and background check processing Ability to facilitate Day 1 New Hire Orientation onsite and virtually Process offboarding transactions including terminations, separation documents and coordinating with IT, Payroll, and HR business partners. Support standard HR processes including benefits inquiries and leave administration support. Escalate complex or policy sensitive matters to Business HR or Centers of Excellence, as appropriate. Accurately execute HR transactions in Workday across the employee lifecycle Maintain and audit employee data to ensure system accuracy and compliance Generate HR documentation including offer letters, job change notices, employee verification letters, and separation documents. Ensure HR transactions comply with employment regulations and internal policies. Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information. Support internal audits, reporting, and compliance-related activities. Deliver responsive, professional, and solution-oriented HR support to employees. Partner with Business HR, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, and other COEs to ensure seamless case resolution Promote employee and manager self-service adoption Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of experience in HR operations or shared services.
