Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Penang is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, relocate and service Lam etch / clean / deposition equipment at customer sites. You will perform start-up, on-site maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Engineering with 3+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience, or advanced degree without experience.
• Graduate eligible for the role.

Responsibilities

• Install and relocate equipment at customers’ sites.
• Carry out on-site preventive maintenance and warranty/service for out-of-warranty tools.
• Coordinate service actions with customers to minimize downtime.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques and perform diagnostics to isolate problems.
• Prepare logs, service records, and diagnostic updates.
• Travel frequently (up to 90%) domestically and internationally.
