Job summary

Lam Research in Malaysia seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, service and maintain Lam etch/clean/deposition equipment at customer sites. You will perform start-ups, relocations and on-site diagnostics for global customers, ensuring uptime and quality.

Expect 90% travel to Asia and the US, with on-site and remote work options under Lam's Flex programs. The role requires a degree in Electronics/Engineering and 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work swing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
Graduate eligible role.
Self-starter who can work independently and grow with the company.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to travel frequently (90% to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, US) and work various shifts.

Responsibilities

Install/relocate equipment at customer sites and perform start-up/check-out activities.
Provide warranty or paid service with on-site preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment, replace defective components as needed.
Implement field modifications per ECOs and carry out Tier 2 qualification.
Maintain logs, service records, and diagnostic updates.
Represent Lam professionally to customers and foster loyalty.
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition; take on ad-hoc duties as required.
