Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council.

• Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at PMG Healthcare SDN. BHD. in Beaufort, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing comprehensive medical services, preventive healthcare, and clinical guidance within our modern healthcare facility. This role is fundamental to our mission of providing accessible and excellent healthcare services to the community we serve.

Key responsibilities

Conducting thorough patient consultations and clinical examinations to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Prescribing appropriate medications and managing patient treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices

Performing minor surgical procedures and diagnostic tests as required within primary care settings

Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection standards

Providing health education and preventive care advice to patients, including vaccinations, screening programmes and lifestyle counselling

Referring patients to specialist services when necessary and coordinating ongoing care with other healthcare providers

Collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery

Contributing to the continued professional development of healthcare team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing

Maintaining adherence to clinical governance, quality assurance standards and patient safety protocols

What we're looking for

Medical degree (MD or equivalent qualification recognised in Malaysia) with full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council

A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a General Practitioner or in a primary healthcare setting

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills with the ability to manage a diverse range of medical presentations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from varied backgrounds

Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin to liaise with diverse clients, suppliers, or associates

Knowledge of current clinical guidelines, treatment protocols and evidence-based medical practice

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Strong organisational and time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple patient consultations efficiently

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of medical advancements

Willingness to work flexible hours including potential clinic coverage as required by the practice
