Medical Officer / General Practitioner (GP)
LS Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer / General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic illnesses
- Conduct thorough patient consultations, taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Manage common medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections and other prevalent health issues
- Perform preventive healthcare services including health screenings, vaccinations and health promotion activities
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records for all patients in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Refer patients to specialist services when necessary and provide appropriate follow‑up care
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with medical knowledge through continuous professional development and participation in training programmes
What we're looking for
- Medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Valid registration and licence to practise as a Medical Officer / General Practitioner in Malaysia
- Minimum 2‑3 years of post‑graduation clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
- Strong clinical knowledge and competency in managing common medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in English and Malay; additional language skills are advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment and manage multiple patient consultations
- Strong attention to detail with meticulous record‑keeping and documentation practices
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient safety
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
- Preference for candidates with experience in chronic disease management, health screening programmes or community health initiatives
