About the role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate General Practitioners to join our medical team in Miri, Sarawak. Key responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations
• Diagnosing acute and chronic conditions and developing appropriate treatment plans
• Prescribing medications and monitoring patient responses to treatment
• Providing preventive healthcare services, including health promotion and disease prevention advice
• Managing patient referrals to specialist services when necessary
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Performing minor surgical procedures and clinical procedures as required
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing first-line emergency care
• Staying current with medical knowledge and best practices through continuing professional development
• Contributing to health education and community health initiatives

What we're looking for

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised university
• Valid medical registration and licence to practise in Malaysia
• Completion of internship or equivalent postgraduate training as required by local regulations
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
• Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin to liaise with diverse clients, suppliers, or associates
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare colleagues
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities
• Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development
• Knowledge of current medical guidelines and evidence-based practice
• Willingness to engage in community health programmes and initiatives
