Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent is required.

About the role

PMG Healthcare SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our medical team in Batu Kawa, Sarawak. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions whilst building meaningful relationships with your patients. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the local community.

Key responsibilities

Conducting thorough clinical assessments and consultations with patients presenting with various medical conditions

Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines

Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes

Performing routine clinical procedures and minor surgical interventions as required

Maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for all patients seen

Referring patients to specialist care when necessary and coordinating ongoing care pathways

Providing health education and preventative care advice to promote patient wellness

Participating in immunisation programmes and health screening initiatives

Contributing to the development and implementation of practice policies and protocols

Maintaining professional development through continuing medical education and staying current with clinical advancements

What we're looking for

A valid medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution

Current registration and licensure with the Malaysian Medical Council or relevant regulatory body

Minimum of 2 years' post-graduation clinical experience in general practice or primary care settings

Comprehensive knowledge of common medical conditions and their management in primary care

Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills with the ability to manage presentations efficiently

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds

Proficiency in Malay, English & Mandarin to liaise with diverse clients, suppliers, or associates

Professional and ethical approach to patient care, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferably fluent in Malay and English, with additional local language skills being advantageous

A commitment to professional development and keeping abreast of current medical practice
